I grow the Mad Dog variety, with blue- purple trumpet shaped flowers. Skullcap is a native, perennial, wild flower to this continent, likes to bloom from July - September. I gather aerial parts before and during flowering, always leaving some to keep growing. I started some from seed readily, and this cutie is taking over a container.
