Meraki: Greek, noun: the soul, love, creativity and passion one puts into their work. Farmacy: American English, noun and adverb. The best kind of place. Where the practices of sowing seeds sparks the arts of creating spaces for thriving biodiversity. The preparing, preserving, compounding and dispensing of plant medicine that honor natural rhythms and interdependent relationships. The honoring of your sacred bodies: physical, mental, emotional and energetic. The learning from and caring for our friends, allies and teachers in nature. The reminders of how powerful you are, how our communities, families, you and your body deserve only health and nourishment. Finding the ways back home to remembering these natural laws and being able to respond to a rapidly shifting world.
Meraki Farmacy was birthed in Guilford, VT in 2015 by Lucia Hawkins, a humxn of many trades working on mastering the ways of harm reduction in the pursuit of more moments of wholeness for people, plants, places and communities. A biologist, educator, innovator and restless maker, Lu offers Meraki as both love letter and call for resistance and protest to oppressive and harmful systems.
In responses to the evolving needs of humxn and non-humxn communities: in ‘20 the Farmacy returned to SE PA, the place of origin for Lu. A workshop is being filled out. A team is being gathered. Contact for collaboration and joining.
Thank you for growing with the Farmacy and the plants.
It’s more than just soap.
Hat reads MAKE RACISTS AFRAID AGAIN from B. Dolan of strange famous records.
Shirt reads FUCK MONSANTO from We Add Up with portions going to support the movements against the poisoning of seed, soil, food, small farm & the future by Monsanto, Big Ag, MNCs and other capitalist patriarchal destruction.
