Meraki: Greek, noun: the soul, love, creativity and passion one puts into their work. Farmacy: American English, noun and adverb.
Accessible care provided by plants, relationship and rooted in integrity.
The preparing, preserving, compounding and dispensing of plant medicine that honor natural rhythms and interdependent relationships.
The honoring of your sacred bodies: physical, mental, emotional, energetic, timeless, in flux.
The learning from and caring for our friends, kin, allies and teachers in nature.
The reminders of how powerful you are, how our communities, families, you and your body deserve the birthrights of health and nourishment.
Finding the ways back home to remembering these natural laws and being able to respond to a rapidly shifting world.
It’s more than just soap. This is seed to skin, connecting personal choices with community action,
Hat reads MAKE RACISTS AFRAID AGAIN from B. Dolan of strange famous records.
Shirt reads FUCK MONSANTO from We Add Up with portions going to support the movements against the destruction of seed, soil, food, small farm & the future by Monsanto & BigAg: industrialized agriculture driven by profit with no regard or respect for sustaining healthy life.

about lucia hawkins: Biologist, educator, unrelenting seeker, mystic, writer, steward to the earth, kin to hawk and moss, friend to all dogs, adventurer, restless maker, lifelong student, Cancer sun, Sag moon, Sag rising. Southeastern PA native returning home after 20 years in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Vermont and quite a few wanderings to the western US.
I birthed Meraki in 2016 as love letter and as a model for one of the many ways our daily lives can be life affirming protests, powered by personal choice and dedication to community. Forever a daughter of the earth and lifelong observer, I weave together lessons from the natural worlds and richly diverse ecosystems, cosmic natural law, studies of ecology/ trauma recovery/medicine, many years of direct life experience and continued learning. Meraki offerings include medicinal soaps, nourishing self care essentials, home & preventative health items, with a focus on supports for the nervous system and tools for emotional regulation and psychospiritual journeys.
My biggest measure of success is that the Farmacy continues to be an accessible, safe space to land and rest amidst a rapidly evolving world. Together through community action and digital platforms we are exploring and practicing ways of harm reduction in the pursuit of more moments of wholeness for people, plants, places and communities.
The specialized services provided at Meraki Farmacy are a still growing and evolving: an integrative healthcare practice focused on relational healing, trauma informed practices, long standing and ancient practices with plant medicines and addressing the needs of individuals and families, in honor and reverence.
